General Information
The objective of the International Conference on Power Systems Transients is to
provide a forum for the exchange of scientific and technical information related
to electromagnetic transients in electric power systems. The working language, including all printed materials, is English.
Host and Location
The conference was hosted by Entergy Corporation.
It was held at the hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 28 - October 2, 2003.
Technical Program Summary
The technical program included 27 sessions with 107 papers representing 31 countries.

°IPST 2003 was originally planned to take place in Hong Kong and
Prof. L. Snider of Hong Kong Polytechnic University was the Chairperson.
However, due to the epidemic of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome)
in the Hong Kong area the conference was postponed and moved to New Orleans.
